Materials
Incense cedar body with a bonded graphite-clay core, hexagonal, unlacquered at the end. Cedar costs more than basswood and is the difference between a sharpener producing a clean cone and a sharpener producing splinters.
Grades
HB for general writing, 2B for anything you want to see on a photocopy or that you will smudge deliberately. Mixed gives six of each, which is the box most people end up wanting.
